Delicious Thai Sandwich Recipe
Our murder mystery dinner parties don't have to be a table top affair - they are just as much fun as an outdoor feast or picnic.
If you're playing our Thai tropical island murder mystery game outdoors, these simple Thai-themed sandwiches will work a treat. The crispy fried tuna in this recipe creates a 'pulled pork' effect, which combined with classic Thai sweet and sour flavours in the seeded buns is quite delicious in our opinion!
This makes 3-4 sandwiches, depending on the size of the bread.
1 can tuna in oil
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp palm sugar (or normal)
2 red chillies finely chopped
3 stalks coriander finely chopped
Half small onion finely chopped
Mayonnaise
Preparation
1. Take the tuna in oil and break up the tuna into fine pieces.
2. Fry the tuna in the oil from the can slowly, letting the liquid boil off it. It will spit a little so best to cover with a lid when you're not stirring it. Cook it evenly till it's crunchy.
3. In a bowl, mix the chillies, coriander and onion. Add the palm sugar, lime juice, fish sauce. Stir together then mix into the tuna in the pan. Remove from the heat.
4. Spread mayonnaise over both slices of bread: the mayonnaise sticks the mixture to the bread, so it needs to be the top and bottom layer of the sandwich, with the tuna mixture spooned in the middle.
